Christmas Card Ideas 2011

I was up most of the night playing with some old and current Stampin' Up! Christmas stamps and had totally a lot of fun.  I will be teaching how to make these cards with the Seniors groups early next month.

Bringing Baby

Baby Boom

Stampin' Up! brought out another baby stamp "Bringing Baby" and it's absolutely gorgeous.  I used the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Medium Sizzlits Dies to create the word "baby" and adhered it onto the card.  I was inspired from the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue, one book worth getting.

Birthday Wishes

For You

On this card I am using the Lace Ribbon Border punch, the Decorative Label punch, Sincere Salutations and Elements of Style stamp set all from Stampin' Up! including the card stock and ribbon.  I love the stamp set it has so much detail on the flowers but it was the border punch that won me over, easy to use and large in size.

Cherish

Cherish

With glossy paper, embossing powder and distress inking this card was made in no time so try using glossy paper for your next technique to give a go.

Teenage Birthday Using Digi and Die-Cuts

I was inspired with  Kenny K digi stamps gallery and downloaded this image. I used my glitter pens to colour her in and MFT ticket die and stamp sets and Stampin' Ups! dotted emboss folder.   Now there is another technique I am totally addicted to which is stamping background stamps onto patterned paper.

Happy Birthday Dad

I made this card for my dad, he races pigeons so that was the theme I used to create this card.  I used my new dies from MFT and with some little stamping with Stampin' Up! for some finishing touches.

Confirmation for Boys

My son Brad has did his Confirmation last week and beside him is his sponsor - Uncle Will.  Below I made Brad's Confirmation card using the die-cut Cross, Hero Arts Cloud stamp and Stampin Ups! Autumn Days stamp set.

Confirmation for Girls

I used the same design as my Confirmation Invitation to make this Confirmation card to suit a girl.  I made some adjustments by changing the colour, embossing with white powder and rounding the edges.  I also used the same diecut-Cross with gold cardstock to attach to the candle.

Confirmation Invitations

With the help of Martha Stewart border punch, Sizzix die-cuts and Stampin' Up! words stamp sets, I made this invitation for Brad's Confirmation this year.

Christmas Card Swap

This is my Christmas card swap I made with the Stampin' Up! ladies in September and as the month flew by I was glad I had taken part.  I have to say it was a great feeling when you have completed them and sent off and even better when the girl's at the post office wanted to have a look and gave such great compliments.

Die-Cut Birthday Cards

I'm love using die-cuts and the rosette that's on this card  is by Tim Holtz and the cute little butterfly is an embosslit die from Stampin' Up! called Beautiful Wings which cuts out 5 different size butterflies and dry emboss at the same time - pretty cool!  The background stamp is inked with 3 different colours and sprayed with water before stamping onto the card such a fun technique with great results.

Floral Birthday Card

With spring in the air it was hard not to play with floral stamps and bright inks to match.  I used a floral  background stamp on the bottom part of the card, I added two ink colours onto the stamp and misted with water before stamping.  With the main flower I stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder then inked the flower without worrying about staying within the lines as the white embossing acts as a resist.

Baby Shower Card

With a little help from my Big Shot and punches a baby shower card was made.  I used the Stampin' Ups! Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Tim Holtz die cut and with a few other accessories to complete the card.  This image is one of Stampin' Ups! retired stamp sets from a few years ago, I just omitted the square lines around the image.

Stampin' Up! Layering Punch

This Video explains how to use the New Layering Punch by Stampin' Up! Just one of many great new products from the New Idea Book & Catalogue 2011-2012. Click image to play video.

Father's Day 2011

Father's Day this weekend and I had a lot of things to do today, I was considering to buy a card and thought against it.  I kept it simple and had the chance to use my retired Stampin' Up! stamp set and chalks-don't forget to spray fixative on your work this stops the chalk from rubbing off.  The Tiny Tag punch that I used remained in the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue and stamp set to match.  I also had the chance to play with Tim Holtz Mini Rosette die - lots of fun and I found it easy to put the rosette together with the glue gun so girl dust off your glue guns because once you start making flowers it's hard to stop.

Teenage Birthday Using Digi and Die-Cuts

I used several combinations to create this card from Destressing, Die-Cuting, Dry Embossing, Stamping and even the use of Digital images.  The Digital image allowed me to use my Copic Markers for the first time and I finished the card off with a spray or two using Moon Mist.

I have entered this at Less is More - Circle Challenge.

2011-2012 Calendar

I revamped my hanging calendar and posted the new 2011-2012 Mini Calendar under FREEBIES.  The dies I used were Stampin' Ups! - Floral Fusion, Birds & Blooms Bird, Birds & Blooms Scallop Circles and Tim Holtz Alterations - Elegant Flourishes.  The background is by Hero Arts - Friends Definitions stamp with Chocolate Chip Stampin' Up! Classic Ink.

Men's Birthday Card

The motorbike is sold as a single stamp exclusively to Stampin' Up! in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue and the Scollop Trim border is one of my favourite border punches also by Stampin Up!

I entered this in Less is More Circles Challenge.

Holy Communion Card For Girls

Rachel made us very proud last week as she did her First Holy Communion.  The card I made for  her was using the Church Template I have on my site, I made some adjustments to the template allowing the card to close.

You Rock!

I made this card for my daughter Olivia who just turned 8.  She love the colour green and love's this stamp set from Stampin' up! (a retired set).  I added stitches on the skull as she too has recently had stitches on her head and hoping she would see the funny side to this.

Magazine Appearance

Thanks to Doreen's story about how we meet on the internet we both appeared in UK's Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine Issue 92.  The top photo is when Doreen came to Australia and we finally got to meet one another for the first time as we have been interacting via the internet and the second photo of us is when I was lucky enough to go to Malta last year and visit Doreen.  Doreen is a lovely person and very welcoming and we connected instantly and our passion for crafts is equally matched.  I feel very fortunate to have meet her and Doreen has a cool website with amazing cards that she has designed.  I keep telling Doreen that she should publish her designs in a book and that I will be the first in line to purchase it-still waiting Doreen.  You can check out her gorgeous blog here.

Tim Holtz Die-Cut

I made this for my 13 year old niece and was using the combination of Stampin' Up! punches and Tim Holtz Die-Cuts and distress inks as well as some stickers to complete this card. Lots of fun and the Big Shot is a must for any craft addicted like me.

Community Centre

The last two weeks I have been working on several workshops at the Community Centre in Hoppers Crossing.  We worked on a Hanging Scrap Page, I took some photos of one of the classes to share.  There were quite a few long nights preparing these workshops but all was worth it to see the smiles on their faces.

Holy Communion Invitations for Girls

I just finished handing out Holy Communion invitation for my daughter Rachel and this card is special to me as Rachel and I had worked on it together, she loved this stamp set and request vellum to be included on the card, Rachel and I were happy with the results.  I stamped on vellum with Stazon black ink and the owl with Stampin' Up! and before attaching the vellum to the base of the card with vellum tape, I ran the card through the big shot and Vintage Wall impression folder by Stampin' Up!  A bling and pink ribbon tied it up nicely.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!  I hope you all get treated as a queen today so make the most of it.

Wonderful Mother

I was playing with my new stamp sets last night using a combination of Hero Arts, Stampin' Up! and Tim Holtz products and came up with this.  This is a reverse stamp image, I had a lot of fun playing and ending up going to bed at midnight.

Grunge Look For Men

This is my grunge card for men using distress ink, die cuts and with Stampin' Up! stamp sets, ink and cutter kit - totally a whole lot of fun.  Have you got grunge fever yet?

I entered this at The Corrosive Challenge Blog for the music challenge.

Distress Butterfly

I was inspired to make this birthday card by Jennifer Mcguire and this was my take of it using distress inks and water mist.

BFB Award

I want to thank Dora for this lovely award, I feel very honored to receive the Best Friend Blogger Award.  Thank you Dora.

Mini Book Tags

This mini book didn't take long to make and the tags come out for photos to be added.

Kitty Cat Card

Bow is a new member of our family who loves all my craft supplies so I had to part with one of my paint brushes.  When it was my son's birthday I couldn't help myself making a Kitty Cat Card.

Easter Treats

For those who are short for time but still want to make Easter gifts for friends and family then this is the treat for you.  I used the Top Note die and Stampin' Up! stamp sets.

Easter Candle

The kids and I have set aside some time to make Easter Candles, they did all the stamping and I used the heat gun.  Then the girls did the wrapping - totally fun for all ages making this a special gift to give.

Happy Easter

This Easter Blossom stamp set was available during the Summer 2011 Catalogue promotion and I hope to see it again in the next Idea Book and Catalogue.

Easter Chick

I love my Easter Chick stamp and now with extra punches and border punches that Stampin' Up! have added to their products, your left with extra time to make more cards.

Easter Blossoms

Easter is near and so it's time for all your craft papers, inks and trimmers to go in production.  I used this lovely stamp set by Stampin' up! Easter Blossoms.

Holy Communion Cards

Holy Communion and Confirmations are the topics of conversation that's going on around the house.  I have one of my daughters doing her Holy Communion and both my son and niece are doing there Confirmation this year.  We are all buzzing with excitement and with invitations and congratulation cards to make, it should keep me busy.  This card was inspired from our church window and I loved using the ultra thin boarder stickers.  When you look through the window you can see a dove and a girl praying.

Birthday Flower

I made this card awhile ago and with flowers making their mark this year, I decided to post this.  This is one of the reasons why I love stamping so much - to be able to create cards beyond a flat page.

Sweet Lollie-Pop

Stampin' Up! demonstrator's attend most Papercraft Shows and providing make-and-takes.  So of course I had to make something.  The sweet lollie-pop project was so much fun to make and you get to eat the lollie-pop too.  What a great project to make for friends and school kids.

Candle Wishes

This is another card I made at a workshop - I really love the Medallion background stamp from Stampin' Up! I applied the kissing technique with Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' ink pads. After wrapping Chocolate Chip ribbon around the card I attached a bow for this card. I made a similar card using pink instead of Baja Breeze ink and added a flower replacing the bow.  I totally enjoyed making these cards, you should  give kissing technique a try.

Thanks So Much!

As much as I love making cards, I also like receiving them and what a lovely way to make someone feel appreciated by saying Thank You! with a card.  This card I made was at a Stampin' Up! class, we all had a great time and it was fun meeting new people.
