Christmas Card Ideas 2011

I was up most of the night playing with some old and current Stampin' Up! Christmas stamps and had totally a lot of fun.  I will be teaching how to make these cards with the Seniors groups early next month.

Bringing Baby

Baby Boom

Stampin' Up! brought out another baby stamp "Bringing Baby" and it's absolutely gorgeous.  I used the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Medium Sizzlits Dies to create the word "baby" and adhered it onto the card.  I was inspired from the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue, one book worth getting.

Birthday Wishes

For You

On this card I am using the Lace Ribbon Border punch, the Decorative Label punch, Sincere Salutations and Elements of Style stamp set all from Stampin' Up! including the card stock and ribbon.  I love the stamp set it has so much detail on the flowers but it was the border punch that won me over, easy to use and large in size.

Cherish

Cherish

With glossy paper, embossing powder and distress inking this card was made in no time so try using glossy paper for your next technique to give a go.

Teenage Birthday Using Digi and Die-Cuts

I was inspired with  Kenny K digi stamps gallery and downloaded this image. I used my glitter pens to colour her in and MFT ticket die and stamp sets and Stampin' Ups! dotted emboss folder.   Now there is another technique I am totally addicted to which is stamping background stamps onto patterned paper.

Happy Birthday Dad

I made this card for my dad, he races pigeons so that was the theme I used to create this card.  I used my new dies from MFT and with some little stamping with Stampin' Up! for some finishing touches.

Confirmation for Boys

My son Brad has did his Confirmation last week and beside him is his sponsor - Uncle Will.  Below I made Brad's Confirmation card using the die-cut Cross, Hero Arts Cloud stamp and Stampin Ups! Autumn Days stamp set.

Confirmation for Girls

I used the same design as my Confirmation Invitation to make this Confirmation card to suit a girl.  I made some adjustments by changing the colour, embossing with white powder and rounding the edges.  I also used the same diecut-Cross with gold cardstock to attach to the candle.

Confirmation Invitations

With the help of Martha Stewart border punch, Sizzix die-cuts and Stampin' Up! words stamp sets, I made this invitation for Brad's Confirmation this year.

Christmas Card Swap

This is my Christmas card swap I made with the Stampin' Up! ladies in September and as the month flew by I was glad I had taken part.  I have to say it was a great feeling when you have completed them and sent off and even better when the girl's at the post office wanted to have a look and gave such great compliments.

Die-Cut Birthday Cards

I'm love using die-cuts and the rosette that's on this card  is by Tim Holtz and the cute little butterfly is an embosslit die from Stampin' Up! called Beautiful Wings which cuts out 5 different size butterflies and dry emboss at the same time - pretty cool!  The background stamp is inked with 3 different colours and sprayed with water before stamping onto the card such a fun technique with great results.

Floral Birthday Card

With spring in the air it was hard not to play with floral stamps and bright inks to match.  I used a floral  background stamp on the bottom part of the card, I added two ink colours onto the stamp and misted with water before stamping.  With the main flower I stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder then inked the flower without worrying about staying within the lines as the white embossing acts as a resist.

Baby Shower Card

With a little help from my Big Shot and punches a baby shower card was made.  I used the Stampin' Ups! Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Tim Holtz die cut and with a few other accessories to complete the card.  This image is one of Stampin' Ups! retired stamp sets from a few years ago, I just omitted the square lines around the image.

Father's Day 2011

Father's Day this weekend and I had a lot of things to do today, I was considering to buy a card and thought against it.  I kept it simple and had the chance to use my retired Stampin' Up! stamp set and chalks-don't forget to spray fixative on your work this stops the chalk from rubbing off.  The Tiny Tag punch that I used remained in the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue and stamp set to match.  I also had the chance to play with Tim Holtz Mini Rosette die - lots of fun and I found it easy to put the rosette together with the glue gun so girl dust off your glue guns because once you start making flowers it's hard to stop.

Teenage Birthday Using Digi and Die-Cuts

I used several combinations to create this card from Destressing, Die-Cuting, Dry Embossing, Stamping and even the use of Digital images.  The Digital image allowed me to use my Copic Markers for the first time and I finished the card off with a spray or two using Moon Mist.

I have entered this at Less is More - Circle Challenge.

2011-2012 Calendar

I revamped my hanging calendar and posted the new 2011-2012 Mini Calendar under FREEBIES.  The dies I used were Stampin' Ups! - Floral Fusion, Birds & Blooms Bird, Birds & Blooms Scallop Circles and Tim Holtz Alterations - Elegant Flourishes.  The background is by Hero Arts - Friends Definitions stamp with Chocolate Chip Stampin' Up! Classic Ink.

Men's Birthday Card

The motorbike is sold as a single stamp exclusively to Stampin' Up! in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue and the Scollop Trim border is one of my favourite border punches also by Stampin Up!

I entered this in Less is More Circles Challenge.
